Christmas is comming and HK is preparing the deco since September.
I will fly home this Friday and really looking forward to meet my family and friends.
Will be back in HK beginning of January (my plans for New Year changed recently and now I dont stay in HK for Silvester).

I wish you all a good time, merry X mas, happy holiday... just have fun

And here is some of my favorite X mas deco in HK:

The decoration at the Oceancenter is like every year amazing!

Some funny japanese figures and KFC are in Christmas mood...

..or for the non Christians political correct: Season's Greatings

..very elegant the Peninnsula Hotel...

... and even something for the Marsians. I m sure the blue trees in front of the New World Center they can see from their planet.

Shanghai - last evening

At my - for this time - last evening in Shanghai I had dinner with Juliet, Antje and Udo at Paulaner.
Nice german food and beer in the middle of Shanghai... I missed the dark bread

Later we played Billiard and Dart in Harleys and when we where finally on our way home, we got hungry again.

The Hot Dog looked good and was really chaep, but we decided to try the chinese street food.
I took some healthy looking meat sticks (the grey ones I left in the plastic bag) and it was really delicious... and we felt good the other day.

Meanwile I really like Shanghai; also thank Antje who showed me some interesting bars like

Shanghai - Beijing duck

Eddie invited us to a very good chinese duck restaurant.
We had Beijing duck and lamb and many other chinese dishes.
So good!!!

Shanghai - looking for Yoko Ono

Yoko Ono just opend an exhibition in Shanghai; so we went to see it... but couldn't find the building.
Instead we found a nice old marketstreet and tookpictures like japanese tourists.

It was raining, but the peolple played games on the street, offered bike repair service and strange food.

Later... still searching ... we found a submarine in a park. Yes; its a submarine. Just click on the picture to see it bigger.

It was not yellow but Lennons spirit was around...

Eventually we found the exhibition but: forget Yoko Ono! It was not really worth to see.

Shanghai - World financial center

Last weekend I was again in Shanghai to visit Antje and other friends. The thing I already wanted to do last time was to go to the observatory platform of the world financial center.
Although the lady at the ticket counter warned us like fife times: the weather is very bad, you cant see anything (a fact we didn't noticed until then ;)
we bought the ticket and.....

.... we could see something!!
Ok.. when the weather is nice, the view is amazing but at least
with the bad weather one doesn't have to wait one hour to go up
and it wasn't crowded at all.

The platform has a glasbottom where you can see the streets 474m under your feets.

the way up and down with the lift reminded me of old sience fiction films
here the video:

Pottery course

Few weeks ago I started to attend a pottery course.
Even if it starts sunday at 10.00 am and its hard for me to get off the bed after dancing until 4 am its fun.
Here you see the first result. Dont ask, what it is; I dont know.
Supposed to be a tea pot in the beginning but then it turnt more and more into this :)
