Hanoi - snake village

I rent a taxi for half a day and went to some villages outside Hanoi.
One was called " the snake village"; famouse for his snake farms and restaurants.

The guy from one restaurant showed me some nice snakes... this is a cobra and I was only 2 meters away, scared like hell ;)

The restaurant was at a river; mostly men come here to eat the snake. It should make them stronger... whatever that means...

Here's the menue. I ordered a whole snake menue with different dishes, it cost around 10 Euro.

Beside of snakes, the restaurant offeres also other animals. Beliefe me, I tried only snake.

What I didnt expect: they brought the snake to the table to kill it in front of you. I watched it through the camera.

After killing they take the blood (I m not sure, if they kill the snake before taking the blood or the snake dies during this process).

Then they take the bile (Galle) out and mix it with some alcohol.

Blood and bile should be very good for men... I have many commends in my mind, but better keep it for myself :D

And here the different snake dishes. All was very deliciouse and me and my taxi driver could manage to eat the whole snake.
