Birthday-BBQ

At my birthday end of May I was in scotland.

Now back in HK I went last sunday with friends for an after-birthday-BBQ to the beach

of Shek O.

Its a nice place and the weather was perfect (rain season already started in HK).

You can rent a place with a grill, and chairs.

At the nearby supermarket (more a very small store) you find anything you need: all kind of meat, drinks, paperplates, forks...

The fish we got earlier fresh from the market..

Later I even got a birthdaycake :)

... and we finished the evening with a drink at a hidden beach bar.
It was a nice birthdayparty, will have some more when other friends comming to HK ;)

Scotland

Last week I was with a friend for few days in scotland to escape the crowded city of HK and see some wide green grasland again.
The weather was perfect; we rent a car to see some of the countryside north of Edinburgh.
I never saw the gras so green!! Somehow the colors are much brighter than in other parts of the world (for sure brighter than in China ;)
Here some pics without comment, dont have much time to write because since I m back in HK, I started working again and was out every evening... back to the real world.

Guilin

Beginning of May we had a very loooong weekend in HK (3 days off) and my friends Antje and Julia from Shanghai and me went to Guilin.
The area around Guilin is the place some might know from the famous chinese paintings; the scenery with the round mountains, the river and the fisher using Cormorants to catch the fish.
We booked a hotel in Yangshou;hour away by car from the big city Guilin.
The hotel was great, wit a nice view and very quiet.
