Last weekend...

Its sunday night, 1.30 and I cant sleepe. So I decided to upload some pictures I took last weekend:



Friday Antje and I went to see Duffy
at her first concert in HK.
It was prohibited to take photos (only to explain the bad quality of my pics).

Duffy: great voice but she seemed a bit like a Barbie version of Amy Winehouse. But good concert!

Saturday: party and meeting friends... no pictures ;)

Sunday: we took the ferry to HK island.

Did I already mentioned, that I love the ferry??

Here my view before and during the ride:

Arrived in Central at HK island we went for brunch to the Brunch Club in Soho/ Peel street.

Really good for brunch!

After a coffee and omlett we walked around in Soho...

... he had lunch break too...


..street market; the mango season is starting. Delicious, I like them most in the Daiquiri in the feather boa (I finally got my member card of the feather boa!!!)

My favorite vintage shop in HK! Its also in Peel street, I could always spend hours and lots of money inside.

The cat street market in Sheung Wan. Here you can find funny things, trash,
antic things and new thing that look like antic.

And of course, like everywhere in HK, you find a place to eat for everybody.

North Point

Sunday- after waking up in the afternoon - we decided to go to North Point.
Its opposite to the place I live, but on the island side.
I never been there and also wanted to play more with my camera...

We took the ferry...

... and arrived after 10 min in North Point.

Directly at the ferry pier is a small fish market.

You can buy fish, shells, crabs and even lobster.

All the animals are still (barely) alive what was a reason for me

not to buy some because I m not able to kill them.

Of course they had also some already dead/prepared food.

The local market was full of cheap stuff and people, who enjoyed

shopping at the first sunny day this week.

North Point is an old district; not many foreigners and

tourists comming here. You can watch the local people
and they will watch you when you take pictures every

2 min of boring old houses ;) I just like the old buildings...

... and the small details I find everywhere...

Finally back to Hung Hom...

Night market - Jordan

I got a new camera and had to to try it out
Saturday evening.
Wiebke was here for the weekend and we went for dinner to the night market.

Later we went out, dancing, meeting friends.......................
breakfast at 6.30 in the morning (lamb Kebab :)

Shanghai - Impressions

I always come back from Shanghai with mixed emotions.
Really hate the noise, the big distance between places you want to go, to wait hours for a taxi,
everywhere reconstruction...

But on the other hand its so much more interesting than HK.
Very good clubs and bands! The friday night Latin band @ JZ is great!!
Get the impression, that HK is the ticino of China :)
(some people might know what I mean)

Here only some pics I took wile working around clueless. I m not able to find the right way in Shanghai but luckily I could show Antjes adress in chinese to the taxi driver to get back.
